STATIONARY CAMERA ARRAYS
CFF has constructed four two stationary frames capable of recording stereo, still photographs for 360+ hours in at-sea trials, and real-time video for 1-3 hours. These stands can beare fitted with LED strobes cameras and synced to flash only when camera takes photo, minimizing the impact of artificial light on animal behavior. An integrated Hydrolab data logger records in sync with images, providing a suite of environmental characteristics tied directly to each image. Finally, an integrated drop box or modified crab trap allows for dropping items (such as rubble/gravel, benthic organisms, egg casings, bait, etc) within the image frame to track in time lapse series.
