Our fisheries innovation and research efforts have directly informed fishery management measures, including bycatch reduction strategies, seasonal time-area closures to protect valued resources on Georges Bank and the Mid-Atlantic, and something else. Our cooperative research supports sustainable scallop fishing to address critical data gaps and community needs. Through diverse survey methods and ongoing collaborations, this work informs stock assessments and demonstrates the value of industry-science partnerships.
