March 19, 2026
CFF Research Biologist Natalie Jennings attended Mass Audubon’s Cape Cod Natural History Conference at Cape Cod Community College on March 7 in West Barnstable. The 29th annual conference drew more than 200 participants from across the Cape and Islands who gathered to share knowledge and discuss regional natural history research. Presentations covered topics ranging from retired cranberry bog and wetland restoration to clean water initiatives and terrestrial and marine megafauna.
Natalie presented preliminary findings from the Davis Bank East Survey in an oral presentation titled “Partnering with Commercial Fishermen to Conduct a Benthic Survey on Nantucket Shoals,” highlighting how collaboration with commercial surfclam fishermen is helping expand our understanding of seafloor habitats on Nantucket Shoals.
